Large jaw size can be attributed to fats, muscle or bone in that area. A reduction in any of these components correctly will have to achieve a sharper and slimmer jawline.
Frequent chewing on foods such as chewing gums and jaw grinding can result in hypertrophied muscles in the jaw. This is known as masseter hypertrophy or more commonly described as a square jaw, and concerns many people cosmetically. This treatment is safe and simple without the disadvantages associated with surgery and is a highly successful treatment to beautifully contour the lower face and create a slimmer and feminine jaw. The results will last for 3 to 6 months but can be extended to 12 months after repeated treatments, depending on the individual.
However, if there are fats contributing to the chubby lower face, you may want to consider melting the fats away either via face laser lipolysis, mesolipolysis or buccal fats removal. Depending on which treatment you choose to dissolve the fats, a reduction in the amount of fat will also contribute to a slimmer looking jaw area (as shown in the picture below).
Repeated treatment may be required to gain the desired change in face shape.
A combination of the above treatments which will enhance the jaw slimming effect.
